William Topley – William Topley – CD
(Lost Highway / Universal) Hmmm. I don’t really know what to think of William Topley. At first I thought he was a standard blues musician with a bit of southern rock bubbling up to the surface. Then he hit a track that had a bit of a fusion flavor and his voice turned to something in the realm of Joe Jackson. Now he’s playing a reggae song and actually doing a fine job of it. However, I think his first love is blues, but it’s great to hear his forays into other styles and to hear how well he can capture all these styles so well. {Grog}
